Michael, Knowledge Representation for an Intelligent Tutoring System Based on a Multilevel Causal Model, in Claude Frasson, Gilles Gauthier, Gordon McCalla (editors), Intelligent Tutoring Systems: Second International Conference, ITS '92,
Knowledge is central for an intelligent system. A knowledge representation framework, which distinguishes between several generic types of knowledge and structures them in several layers, provides one of the most powerful ways of designing an intelligent system.
    • 2002, Patricia Melin, Oscar Castillo, Modelling, Simulation and Control of Non-linear Dynamical Systems:
This computer program can be considered an intelligent system for the domain of Non-linear Dynamical Systems (NDS) because it uses SC techniques to obtain the "best" mathematical model for a given dynamic system.
    • 2007, Adrianna Kosierkiewicz and Ngoc Thanh Nguyen, The Statistical Verification of Rough Classification Algorithms in Bruno Apolloni, Robert J. Howlett, L. C. Jain (editors), Knowledge-Based Intelligent Information and Engineering Systems (conference proceedings),
German Tutor [5] is another intelligent system which helps learning foreign languages.
