Etymology edit
From kȉseo + -nik, based on kìsīk, coined by Bogoslav Šulek in the 19th century from the root of kȉseo (modeled after the Czech kyslík).
Vladimir Njegovan suggested the term is irregularly formed, arguing the roots should have formed *kiselik.
