r(ꜣ)w (plural of r(ꜣ) (“mouth, utterance”)) + nw (masculine plural of nj (“of”)) + prt (infinitive of prj (“to come forth”)) + m (“in, during, from”) + hrw (“day”). The literal meaning is thus ‘Utterances of Coming Forth in the Day’. This is traditionally interpreted to mean ‘coming forth by/into day’, but note that every other use of m with prj takes the meaning of ‘from, out of’ rather than ‘in’, suggesting the intended meaning may be ‘coming forth from the day’.
