Usage notes
editOld English sibsum survived into Middle English only in derivative terms such as this one, before eventually being lost entirely.[1] Some attempt has been made to reintroduce this word (under the variant spelling sibsomeness) into Modern English, but the term has not been widely adopted.[2]
