    • 1872 December 6, “Amgylchiad Gofidus”, in Y Dydd, page 4:
      Gwasanaethai merch ieuanc, tair ar bymtheg oed, o'r enw Elizabeth Rees, gyda Mr. Mitchell, yn Dylogau — fferm ar lan yr afon Ystwyth, Ceredigion.
      A young woman, eighteen* years of age, by the name of Elizabeth Rees, was in service with Mr Mitchell in Dolygau at a farm on the river Ystwyth in Cardiganshire.
      The Cambrian News and Merionethshire Standard of the same date says that she was 23 years old.
