Usage notes edit

  • Note that the nominative-looking form of this pronoun is the actual accusative form, i.e. it is used as the accusative plural:
He näkivät toisiansa.
They were seeing each other. (nähdä + partitive "to (be) see(ing), meet")
He näkivät toisensa.
They saw each other. (nähdä + accusative "to notice, perceive by seeing")
