tronfrasigelse
Norwegian Bokmål edit
Etymology edit
tron + frasigelse, first part from German Thron (“throne”), from Middle High German thrōn, trōn, from Old French tron, from Latin thronus (“throne”), from Ancient Greek θρόνος (thrónos, “seat, place of honour”), from Proto-Indo-European *dʰer- (“to hold”). Last part from "frasige", an older form of frasi (“to give up (something)”) with the ending -else, from Danish -else, from Old Danish -ælsæ -ilse, with metathesis of -sl- to -ls- from Old Saxon -isli, -islo.
