éiclips
Irish
editEtymology
editFrom Latin eclīpsis, from Ancient Greek ἔκλειψις (ékleipsis, “eclipse”). The modern pronunciation with final /pˠsˠ/ rather than expected /pʲʃ/ shows the influence of English eclipse.
