Usage notes
- a type of Chinese verb which consists of two parts. The two parts may go together, or other words may be placed between the two parts. For example: 睡覺 (shuìjiào, to sleep) vs. 睡午覺 (shuì wǔ jiào, take a noon nap).
Examples of separable verbs:
