адсорбция
Bulgarian edit
Etymology edit
Internationalism, likely borrowed from German Adsorption, first coined c. 1882. Compare English adsorption of the same origin.
At any rate, ultimately from the Latin roots Latin ad- (“to, towards”) + Latin sorbeō (“drink up”) + Latin -tiō (noun-forming suffix), literally “drinking-up/sucking-in towards”.
