      Како не въсхотѣ славы мꙇра сего, како не въсхотѣ веселитися съ чьстьныими вельможами, како не въсхотѣ величꙇя, еже въ житꙇи семь.
      Kako ne vŭsxotě slavy mira sego, kako ne vŭsxotě veselitisja sŭ čĭstĭnyimi velĭmožami, kako ne vŭsxotě veličija, eže vŭ žitii semĭ.
      Oh how he wanted not the glory of this world! How he wanted not to be merry with the venerable aristocrats! How he wanted not the greatness which was in this life!
