Etymology edit

Inherited from Proto-Slavic *grabľi du, a fossilized dual of *grabľa (ja-stem). Cognate with Serbo-Croatian гра̏бље f pl, Slovene gráblje f pl (from proper plural *grabľẹ pl instead). By surface analysis, гра́бя (grábja, to snatch) +‎ -ля (-lja).
