Inherited from Old East Slavic колеса (kolesa), plural of коло (kolo), from Proto-Slavic *kolo (oblique: *koles-), from Proto-Indo-European *kʷekʷlom (circle), *kʷékʷlos (circle) whence English wheel and cycle.
