- There is a bird in India called phoenix. Every five hundred years it comes to the trees of Lebanon and fills both its wings with incense, and goes to inform the priest of Heliopolis, in the month Phamenoth or Pharmuthi, that is Areg or the preceding months [i.e. Meheki].
