1. (Medieval Hebrew, poetic, rare) contempt or blasphemy

     tenaké ná'ats nibulénu / timkhé mokshé ma'asénu

     You will purify the blasphemy of our filth,
     Wipe out the obstacles of our deeds.

1. (transitive) to spurn, despise
   • Tanach, Proverbs 5:12, with translation of the New International Version:

     וְאָמַרְתָּ אֵיךְ שָׂנֵאתִי מוּסָר וְתוֹכַחַת נָאַץ לִבִּי׃

     wəʾāmartā ʾêḵə śānēʾṯî mûsār wətôḵáḥaṯ nāʾaṣ libbî

     You will say, “How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction!”

     וְאֶת־עַמִּי יִנְאָצוּן מִהְיוֹת עוֹד גּוֹי לִפְנֵיהֶם׃
