Etymology edit

Learned borrowing from Classical Sanskrit चकित (cakita, trembling; (by extension) frightened, startled, shocked). By surface analysis, چَکْ (cak, stem of چَکْنا (caknā, to be surprised, bewildered or amazed)) +‎ ـِت (-it, -ed).
