Etymology edit
From Proto-Indo-Iranian *agrúH (“maid, unmarried girl, virgin”), from Proto-Indo-European *n̥-gʷrúh₂ (“not pregnant”, literally “not heavy”), from *gʷr̥h₂ús (“heavy”). Cognate with Avestan 𐬀𐬖𐬭𐬏 (aγrū), 𐬀𐬔𐬭𐬎 (agru, “unmarried girl, virgin, maiden”). Also compare Sogdian [script needed] (γrʾnh /γrān/, “heavy, pregnant”).

Dhātar upholds the spacious earth, upholds the sky, upholds the Sun.
Dhātar bestow upon this maiden a husband suited to her wish!
