Inherited from Prakrit 𑀣𑀢𑁆𑀢𑀺𑀅 (thattia, rest), from Sanskrit *स्थाप्ति (sthāpti, placing), from स्थापयति (sthāpáyati, to cause to stand, place, locate, lay).
