- Permitted by their guru, they both [returned to their city] by their chariot with speed of wind.

- vāsudevāṅghryanudhyānaparibṛṃhitaraṃhasā. bhaktyā nirmathitāśeṣakaṣāyadhiṣaṇoʼrjunaḥ.
- Arjuna’s constant remembrance of the lotus feet of Lord Krishna rapidly (literally, “with great celerity”) increased his devotion, and as a result of this devotion, all the trash in his thoughts subsided.

- yaḥ paraṃ raṃhasaḥ sākṣāttriguṇājjīvasaṃjñitāt. bhagavantaṃ vāsudevaṃ prapannaḥ sa priyo hi me.
- Any person who is surrendered to Lord Krishna — ablating from vehemence, the three guṇas [sattva, rajas, tamas] and what is known to the living — is certainly very dear to me.
- यः परं रंहसः साक्षात्त्रिगुणाज्जीवसंज्ञितात् । भगवन्तं वासुदेवं प्रपन्नः स प्रियो हि मे ॥
