Borrowed from Sanskrit মনোভাৱ (manobhāva). By surface analysis, মনো- (monō-, mental) +‎ ভাব (bhab, state). Compare Assamese মনোভাৱ (monübhaw), Odia ମନୋଭାବ (mônobhabô), Hindi मनोभाव (manobhāv).
