Inherited from Ashokan Prakrit *𑀞𑀻𑀓𑁆𑀓 (*ṭhīkka). Related to ਟਿਕਾਣਾ (ṭikāṇā). Cognate with Hindustani ٹِھیک (ṭhīk) / ठीक (ṭhīk), Gujarati ઠીક (ṭhīk), Sindhi ٺيِڪُ / ठीकु, Marathi ठीक (ṭhīk), Odia ଠିକ (ṭhikô), Bengali ঠিক (ṭhik).
