Inherited from Prakrit *𑀲𑀸𑀟𑁆𑀠 (*sāḍḍha), from Sanskrit सार्ध (sārdha, “plus a half”), from स (sa, “with”) + अर्ध (ardha, “half”). Cognate with Hindustani साढ़े / ساڑھے (sāṛhe) and Sindhi ساڍِ (sāḍhi)
