Letter

edit

ฤๅ (rʉʉ)

  1. A letter of the Thai alphabet; it is usually regarded as a vowel.
Usage notes
edit

The letter ฤๅ is not normally listed in the Thai consonants. If it is listed, it appears between (rʉ́) and (lɔɔ) in the alphabetical order. When spelled in words, ฤๅ can be pronounced as /rɯː/ or /riː/. Due to encoding, the letter ฤๅ consists of two glyphes, "ฤ" and "ๅ". This often makes people incorrectly use "า" (short-tailed aa) in place of "ๅ" (long-tailed aa).
