Particularly: “Not given etymology by STEDT (rweʼ "move from one's place"). Luce compares (for the causative transitive form ရွှေ့ (hrwe.)) Old Chinese (OC *qʰul, “to move, shake”).[1] This seems feasible, though the Old Chinese form would have to "undergo metathesis" to more closely match the Burmese.”
