ዘበጠ • (zäbäṭä) (prefix conjugation ይዝብጥ (yəzbəṭ))

1. to beat, to hit, to strike, to blow
2. to chastise, to beat for punishment etc.
3. to beat or strike as on an instrument to play, to pluck (as Serbo-Croatian svírati)
