A monogram of the capital letters P and L, the first two letters of "Pluto" as well as the initials of Percival Lowell.[1]

Usage notes

(astronomy): ⟨♇⟩ has only rarely seen formal use since the reclassification of Pluto as a dwarf planet in 2006. has seen rare use for Pluto as a dwarf planet.

(astrology): Both ⟨♇⟩ and are common. ⟨♇⟩ is universal, due to its early standardization in astronomy, but while astrological use of ⟨⯓⟩ is global, it is not the preferred symbol in many European countries. (See for astrological synonyms.)
