Likely from Polish horda, from Russian орда́ (ordá, horde, clan, troop), which may come directly from Mongolian or from West Turkic (compare Tatar урда (urda, horde), Turkish ordu (camp, army)), from Mongolian орду (ordu, court, camp, horde); akin to Kalmyk орда (orda).
