Borrowed from Middle Low German juche, from a Slavic language, from Proto-Slavic *jūxà, from Proto-Balto-Slavic *jáušāˀ, from Proto-Indo-European *yowHs-ó-s, from *yúHs. Compare Lower Sorbian jucha, Polish jucha, and Serbo-Croatian juha. Doublet of Jus.
