Kleie
German edit
Etymology edit
From Middle High German klīwe, klīe, from Old High German klīwa, klīa, klīga. The further origin is unclear. It might stem from Proto-Indo-European *gley- (“to smear, to glue”) but this is difficult due to semantic reasons.[1]
