In many of the descendants, part of the paradigm was replaced by the related verbs *saisadak or *saisodak.

  • Estonian: seisma/seista (stem now seisa-)
  • Finnish: seistä (suppletive with seisoa)
  • Ingrian: seissa (suppletive with seisoa)
  • Veps: seišta (suppletive stem seišu-)
  • Võro: saisma/saistaq (back vowel harmony)
  • Votic: sõissõ, sõisõa (back vowel harmony)
