Etymology

Alternatively, it is reconstructed as *hur-, which could be a comparing to Proto-Tungusic *por- (“to hit, beat”). In the reconstruction, it is assumed the origin of the word Proto-Turkic *urug, as compared to the Proto-Mongolic *(h)üre- (“to strew, scatter”) and Proto-Mongolic *hüre (“seed, child, descendant”). But it is denied that (h)ur- is origin of urug. (Can this⁽⁺⁾ etymology be sourced?)
