Reconstruction talk:Proto-Slavic/duma

Is »council« here intended to be »counsel«, or does it mean an actual council of some sort, like the Russian дума? If it is an actual council, shouldn’t that be a separate definition from »advice«? Vorziblix (talk) 01:39, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- Just совет (without any context) mean "advice, counsel", "council, board". But judging by Old East Slavic дума (duma, “совет, совещание; мысль, намерение; единомышленники”) it's more likely that advise is not suitable. Well, in ЭССЯ it was punctuated with error so i didn't understand properly, but in Sreznevsky (I, 742) it's ok. —Игорь Тълкачь 11:02, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
