Correct spelling?
edit@Octahedron80, 咽頭べさ: are we sure that the S'gaw Karen word is spelled this way, with U+1036 MYANMAR SIGN ANUSVARA? Given the pronunciation /kʰwí/, I'd expect it to be ခွိ with U+102D MYANMAR VOWEL SIGN I. But I don't know anything about Karen; maybe it uses the diacritics differently from how Burmese uses them. —Mahāgaja · talk 10:42, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Mahagaja: Find out more about your ခွံ vocabulary on this Facebook link, I can read and write in S'gaw Karen language. I also have contact with S'gaw Karen language teachers. ခွိ is not the vocabulary S'gaw Karen, ခွိ vocabulary is a Rakhine and Tavoyan pronunciation, thanks. — This unsigned comment was added by 咽頭べさ (talk • contribs).
- OK, thanks! —Mahāgaja · talk 15:53, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
- It is already right. S'gaw Karen uses small circle for 'ee' and big circle for 'oh'. It seems a bit strange but it is the actual orthography. You can check at least 3 dictionaries out there. --Octahedron80 (talk) 01:09, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, I believe you! I just wanted to double-check. —Mahāgaja · talk 08:01, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
