Old medical sense?

edit

According to American Illustrated Medical Dictionary (1919 and 1922), cardin (uncertain whether capitalised) was "an animal extract from ox's heart, prescribed in heart diseases". I can't find anything else on this. An old proprietary name? Etymology would be cardio- + -in. Equinox 15:40, 19 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
