I request attesting quotations of English use as per WT:ATTEST, of this exact spelling. There are two quotation, one of which uses "Handlanger-Corps", and the other one uses "Handlanger soldier". None of the two forms are attestations of this exact spelling. --Dan Polansky (talk) 05:51, 10 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

The hyphenated term is undoubtedly how it appears in German. I found, in the form Handlanger corps (not Corps), [1] and [2] (page 454; according to Quiet Quentin: "When the artillery was attached to individual infantry regiments, the muscle power to actually move the pieces was provided by assigned infantrymen. The Handlanger corps set up as part of Erzherzog Karl's reforms []"). There is also some evidence of the term Artillerie-Handlanger Corps or Artillerie Handlanger Corps: see [3], [4]. — SMUconlaw (talk) 13:30, 10 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.

Sum of parts: Handlanger + corps. (Oh, and feel free to update the etymology and definition of Handlanger, and to add a pronunciation.) — SMUconlaw (talk) 08:26, 11 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

A name of a specific entity (Specialist Austrian troops of the Napoleonic Wars) and thus not really sum of parts. Governed by WT:NSE. --Dan Polansky (talk) 08:36, 17 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
A specific historical thing. But by consensus we seem to want to try to be a half-arsed atlas and encyclopaedia with things like World War II and Star Trek, so why delete this one? Equinox 14:17, 22 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
I created WT:RFV#Handlanger Corps since this might not even be attested as an English term so spelled. --Dan Polansky (talk) 05:54, 10 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
