Anon complained about this. It has but one cite. Not clear whether this is a directly denominal adjective or a past participle of acquaintance#Verb, for which we have no PoS section. DCDuring (talk) 14:20, 6 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Trivially citable. Mostly used by foreigners. Mark nonstandard maybe. Equinox 16:47, 6 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Cited. (Not sure I agree with eq that it's mostly used by foreigners. Maybe in the 21st c.) —Al-Muqanna المقنع (talk) 16:49, 6 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I see that acquaintancing is attestable in the US in the 19th century and more widely in the 20th. It's hard to find verbal instances of acquaintance or acquantances in verbal use. Is the existence of acquaintancing sufficient for us to posit aquaintance as a verb? DCDuring (talk) 18:09, 6 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
