@Nicodene Where did you saw that the forms with -sc- are taken from occitan? In the AIS it seems like dialectal variation, and cassia is the only form in piedmontese, i can't remember now more derivates from -ps- (tell me if you do to check) but i think they have the same results. @Oigolue Not many seem to have survived into Romance. I have found these:

• gypsum
• ipse ⇒ *ad ipsum, *eccum ipse, *metipse, *metipsimus
• lapsana (the FEW gives derivatives, including Romagnol lássan)
• scripsit 'he wrote' ( > Italian scrisse...)
