Rfd of the sense:
- (physics, quantum chromodynamics), color; property of quarks and gluons that is related to the particles' strong interactions in the theory of quantum chromodynamics
Redundant to:
Granted, this uses a very specific, atypical sense of color, but the other sense doesn't say "every sense of color other than the quantum chromodynamics one." Chuck Entz (talk) 02:34, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- I would prefer to keep this, because of the "specific, atypical sense" that you mention, which does in fact explain a lot of compounds like chromodynamics that have nothing to do with visual shades. Is there a better way to do it, like glossing (but with what: "physics" and "(generic)"?)? There are senses of "color" to which "chromo-" doesn't apply, e.g. non-white skin ("people of color"), AFAIK. Equinox ◑ 04:26, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Keep, it's a different meaning just both corresponding to a meaning of the word 'color'. But not the same meaning of the word color, that's the key. Strong keep in fact. Renard Migrant (talk) 14:26, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- Keep per Equinox and Renard. --Dan Polansky (talk) 16:01, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
