Is this real? It was added by an anon and seems suspicious to me. --WikiTiki89 18:09, 2 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Cited. It's perfectly real. One cite talks about prostitution, another mentions a "two-hour fuck", and they all seem quite on-topic. I also fixed the Latin in the etymology. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 18:45, 2 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
It is a legit and very common slang term for sexual intercourse.
Speaking of its origin, the numera form is a back-formation from the (now archaic) verb numerál ("to count, assign numbers to") that comes directly from Latin numerō. Although, numera originally meant "number, digit, numeral" (mostly used in dialects), this sense is also considered obsolete.
The intercourse sense is a German influence. Compare the colloquial term Nummer ("sexual intercourse", literally meaning "number" [1], [2]). The slang meaning of numera first recorded in the expression, numerát csinál ("to have sexual intercourse"), which is a quasi translation of the also colloquial German expression, eine Nummer machen.
If I'm not mistaken, the Norwegian word for number, nummer can also refer to a sexual act. --Baron de Saint-Rémy (talk) 16:30, 6 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
