Italian definition edit

According to the entry for "se", the Italian word "si" is a reflexive pronoun. Also, babelfish translates "yes" as "sì", with an accent over the i. Based on this, I think the "yes" definition should be moved to , and the definition here should be changed to the reflexive. But I'd like confirmation from someone who's fluent in the language (I'm not). -- Ortonmc 20:27, 14 Jan 2004 (UTC)

You are absolutely right. I'm not fluent in Italian either, but other sources on the internet confirm what you discovered. Polyglot 21:26, 14 Jan 2004 (UTC)
This is correct; "si" with an accent is "yes", and is a pronoun without. -- Paul G 13:57, 27 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Query re grammar edit

I've split the Italian pronoun into 5 separate senses because they are all slightly different and have different translations into English. I'm not sure I have used appropriate grammatical terms - could someone with a sound grounding in English grammar check these, please. -- Paul G 13:57, 27 Jan 2004 (UTC)

I've researched this and amended the page accordingly. -- Paul G 14:13, 28 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Query re infinitive + si in Italian edit

Does "ridurre" + "si" become "ridurrsi" or "ridursi" in Italian? I think it might well be the latter, but a Google search shows both to be common. Is one or other correct, or are both? Could a native Italian speaker check this, please? -- Paul G 13:57, 27 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Czech audio edit

It was obviously recorded by someone with a nonstandard accent. (Brno/southern Moravia) I think it should be recorded by someone with more neutral pronunciation.--90.179.235.249 23:55, 27 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
