@Saltmarsh For the four templates about polytonic/monotonic ({{el-polytonic form of}}, {{el-monotonic form of}}, {{poly}} -it says 'script'-, {{monotonic}} -it says 'script-. Perhaps unify the expression with: ...spelling of OR ...script of ? The form doesn't change. Well, a detail... --sarri.greek (talk) 17:26, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

@Saltmarsh, that {{mono}} spoils uniformity. Perhaps:

{{el-poly-of}} = Polytonic spelling of word

{{el-mono-of}} = Monotonic spelling of word (not mentioning Katharevousa specifically)

{{el-poly}} = In polytonic script: / or: Polytonic spelling: word (I do not know what expression is best)

@Saltmarsh done all templates, their linked pages updated, the documentations corrected. For some reason, at my browser, I can see the Template:el-poly-of/documentation correct, but I cannot see it when viewing Template:el-poly-of. Probably something wrong with my cache. I have marked the checked pages with {delete} just to make sure they will be not used again. Unless you wish to keep them. --sarri.greek (talk) 07:11, 12 July 2019 (UTC)

nocat and Module:form of/templates

Hello @Saltmarsh. Template {{el-poly-of}} cannot get a |nocat= param because line 92 at Module:form of/templates will not allow it. Module:parameters is needed but i do not know how to invoke one param out of it.

• Why is this nocat=1 needed? Because allll forms of polytonic lemmata like ἱκέτευσα would get into the Category:Polytonic Greek. (By the by, I would like to ask you about the problem of polytonic lemmata... in Septermber or later)
• The module does not allow the param |l= (link=) which just writes the word: polytonic. But never mind that.
• The module does not allow the expression {{el-poly-of}}. It demands a specified word: Lua error in Module:form_of/templates at line 197: No linked-to term specified; either specify term, alt, translit or transcription But when we direct to grc words, (example at εν) we need

  {{el-poly-of}} {{l|grc|....|t=...}}

The other module-template {{el-mono-of}} has similar problems, except the Category (it does not categorize)
The other two templates {{el-poly}} and {{el-mono}} do not call this module.

@Sarri.greek I'm at home for a couple more weeks. My brain has obviously got to the stage where it loses info not need in the immediate future - I hardly remember writing this. I assume that this will usually be used as in ἄρχομαι, where it (correctly I assume) assigns it to Category:Polytonic Greek — in the absence of this template the assignation doesn't take place! I think I must be misunderstanding your point. We can expand into the other points when this is sorted. — Saltmarsh. 17:01, 29 August 2019 (UTC)

Correct, @Saltmarsh for ἄρχομαι. But I think that for all its forms like: ἄρχεται, ἄρχεσθε, ἄρχονται and so on: do they ALL get in the Polytonic Category AND the normal categories too? Normally i would use nocat=1 for them. Ohhh... Never mind. I can also write it manually. (And there is always the question of Polytonic in general: Are the Greek lemmas going to be semi-doubled in all their categories by polytonic versions?) sarri.greek (talk) 17:35, 29 August 2019 (UTC)

I think that the cat should contain all poly terms - not just the lemmas. And I should have said above that after a brief foray into module, and finding that the help files weren't much help, I gave up on them. In spite of the fact that they give you the bility to write much more versatile code than templates do. Keep well — Saltmarsh. 05:18, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
