Template talk:trans-top2

Useless template
editWhy would we ever need this? Translations are not entered on project pages (e.g. Wiktionary: namespace) and {{tocright}}
is never used in the main namespace (NS:0, where the bulk of the content resides.) --Connel MacKenzie 00:26, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Aw, fudgesicles. And here I thought I was being very clever. The edit preview of the use of trans-top2 with tocright2 over on albino looks really great, too. <sigh> Didn't realize that tocright* were no-nos in articlespace. So, I guess this template can just go straight to the bitbucket. I was trying to push the actual content of the page up and have the ToC float, so that people don't have to scroll such a long ToC to get to the actual meat of the article. — SMcCandlish [talk] [contrib] ツ 00:35, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Demo, for the curious: [1] or just revert back to the "More template fun" version of albino, while this template still even exists. — SMcCandlish [talk] [contrib] ツ 00:52, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Also, wouldn't a simple "|width=66" optional parameter in the original template work better? --Connel MacKenzie 00:27, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Didn't want to mess with the original, since I couldn't guarantee the clear and width changes wouldn't have unforseen consequences on some page I wasn't looking at. — SMcCandlish [talk] [contrib] ツ 00:35, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
RFD discussion
editThe following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process.
It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.
As above. SemperBlotto (talk) 11:33, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
- Delete. It's a seriously bad idea to mess with
{{trans-top}}
, any changes to that should be discussed on the talk page before implemented as it's so widely used. I say treat this as a no longer used sandbox, and delete it. Mglovesfun (talk) 11:58, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
