Fair point. I suppose we can discount the hapax Ζηύς (Zēús) < *dyḗws as leveled from Ζήν (Zḗn)? I doesn't apply to diphthongs due to vowel hiatus like *néh₂us > *nā́us > νηῦς (nēûs), though.
