Limburgish preserves /ɒ ~ ɔ/ - /ʊ/ split. In Limburgish this can be seen as o and ó. Compare: góld (gold, no umlaut) - hout (wood, with umlaut and diphtongization), honing (honey, no umlaut) - kaore (corn, with umlaut and lenghthening).
