Greek IPA

edit

I noticed you transcribed ξ as /x/ and not /ks/ at Αλεξόπουλος and its subpages. I don't really speak Greek, but is that correct? Ultimateria (talk) 03:33, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

A part of me knew ξ being transcribed as /x/ instead of /ks/ was wrong, but I still went with it since many Greek pages containing ξ tended to transcribe it that way; now I know that is not the case, and I’ll be fixing the entries shortly. Gluepix (talk) 05:39, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Plural really pied-de-vents?

edit

Are you certain? French Wiktionary says it's pieds-de-vent, which seems more likely. In general ,don't add red links if you don't speak the language. Equinox 06:44, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ah, it seems I made a mistake; I did intend for the plural to be pieds-de-vent rather than pied-de-vents, though. Gluepix (talk) 06:52, 16 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

English rhymes

edit

Hi - could you please go back through all the rhymes you've added and correct any multisyllabic ones where the stress doesn't fall on the last syllable? For example, the rhyme for Pema (/ˈpɛmə/) is -ɛmə, not , as you've put, because English rhymes are from the stressed syllable to the end. I've noticed you've made this mistake repeatedly, so it's important that you go back through and correct them all. Thanks. Theknightwho (talk) 06:31, 23 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Alright, I’ll get those fixed. Gluepix (talk) 19:43, 23 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
