Willy agrimano~enwiktionary
Hello, welcome to Wiktionary, and thank you for your contributions so far.
If you are unfamiliar with wiki-editing, take a look at Help:How to edit a page. It is a concise list of technical guidelines to the wiki format we use here: how to, for example, make text boldfaced or create hyperlinks. Feel free to practice in the sandbox. If you would like a slower introduction we have a short tutorial.
These links may help you familiarize yourself with Wiktionary:
- Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
- Check out Language considerations to find out more about how to edit for a particular language.
- Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
- If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
- If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Whenever commenting on any discussion page, please sign your posts with four tildes (
~~~~
) which automatically produces your username and timestamp. - You are encouraged to add a BabelBox to your userpage to indicate your self-assessed knowledge of languages.
Enjoy your stay at Wiktionary! — This unsigned comment was added by Jackofclubs (talk • contribs) at 16:47, 13 March 2009 (UTC).
for a project
editI don't understand your edit to my "for a project" section on the translation requests page. Can you specify what language it is? 50 Xylophone Players talk 18:06, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
- It was in Tagalog. There isn't exactly a term "recycling," so the closest thing is a description. Magtipid is to be frugal, muling gamitin is to reuse, and at sinopin ukol sa iba pang gamit nito: find other uses for this object.
- Sorry for butting in here; the user hasn't responded (oh where oh where are you?), and I felt the post should be clarified, which I hope has been. I had also only found out about this now. --Icqgirl 11:16, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
sinopin ukol sa iba pang gamit is " save for other or future use" Willy agrimano 08:24, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Please follow the WT:ELE when creating new entries. Or, you may choose to copy the format of an existing entry. But please, use the right formatting! You may reenter those entries that I deleted if you do so. —Internoob (Disc•Cont) 03:54, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
Hi Pinoy. :) Nakikita ko po dati ang mga post n'yo. Mabuti po't nabalik kayo!
Sa matapobre po. Dalawa po kasing pinagsamang salita ito kaya hindi ko pa po dito isinama ang etymology ng pobre na Espanyol. (Isusulat na galing ito sa Espanyol sa entry na pobre mismo.) Kill po ba ang ibig sabihin ng mata? Binalik ko na lang po sa dati hanggang sa makita po natin ang salitang ito sa isang diksyunaryo. Buti naisip n'yo po ang mapagmataas. Isinama ko na lang po ito sa Synonyms dahil mas focus po ng ehemplong pangungusap ang entry nito.
Wala pa po kasi tayong pinatibayang rules para sa mga Tagalog na entry. Hehehe. Dapat nga'y gawin na natin ito.
Salamat po sa inyo! May isa pang Pinoy na makikilagay ng mga Tagalog na salita dito. Balitaan na lang po ulit. --Icqgirl 05:43, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Willy agrimano. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Willy agrimano~enwiktionary that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
