(fascism) A social order giving off impressions of being dynamically fascist and populist, but trying to abstain from its most radical practices. The March on Rome, a mass demonstration and coup d’état that led to Benito Mussolini’s fascist party coming to power in Italy, took place on this day 100 years ago in 1922.
