attorney record (plural attorney records)

  1. (law) The documentation or information that an attorney maintains about a case or client, such as case files, correspondence, evidence, notes, etc.
    • 1970, Mitre Corporation, Automobile Accident Litigation - A Report of the Federal Judicial Center to the Department of Transportation, page 335:
      A new attorney file is created by adding the corresponding case record to every attorney record. The attorney records for which there is no case record are dropped.
