brumate (third-person singular simple present brumates, present participle brumating, simple past and past participle brumated)

(zoology) To be in a lethargic state, somewhat analogous to hibernation but not the same. Commonly found in reptiles and in some other animal species, such as bears.
My snake is starting to brumate.
