bundle branch block (plural bundle branch blocks)

1. (pathology) A heart condition in which the electrical impulses controlling the pace of the heart are not transmitted normally through either of the bundle branches.

     The electrocardiogram manifests with a basic second degree conduction block, e.g. a 2:1 ratio associated with a bundle branch block pattern.
